Pere Aragonès, the President of the Generalitat, highlighted the potential of the Catalan enclosure as an infrastructure that generates opportunities and added value, placing special emphasis on the development of the Logistics Activities Zone (ZAL), which is currently under construction.
He has described the port of Tarragona as a “key infrastructure for the economic progress of the country” and highlighted its “strategic role”, especially in the chemical and cereals sectors. He also stated that the future of Catalonia “lies in a green and digital reindustrialisation”.
